Rain & Sprinklers

The kids love to splash & play in the rain, so when we had a rain without lightning & thunder they were super excited to play it.

 There was also a morning where everyone enjoyed running thru the sprinklers.  The kids had so much fun!

 Since they were sopping wet already, next up was the pool (yes in their PJ's).  After luring Andrew down to the pool, he was tossed in :-) Miss J was next.

Twins vs KC

We took the kids to a Twins game in July....it was fun, but boy oh boy was it a hot one! Thankfully we were in the Legends club so we could escape to air conditioning when the kids started to get overheated.  Eventually we were in the shade, which made a huge temperature difference.  Here are some pictures from our day at the game:

We're excited to head back to cheer them on at the end of August.

Baseball

After our trip to Hayward, Andrew had his last baseball game of the spring season.  Here's a picture of Andrew & Bruce (a.k.a. Coach) after the game.

Hayward 2012

We made our annual trip to Hayward a week earlier than we have in the past, so we were up there for Jenna's birthday and our anniversary.  The weather was great, and the kids enjoyed playing in the water & fishing.  We were also able to hang out with Cori, Jeff and the girls which was a lot of fun.  The kids all played really well together.

The neighbor at the cabin we rented has jet ski's & a diving dock.  He came over & asked the kids if they wanted to go for a ride (super nice of him).  Andrew & Mikaiya also jumped off the diving dock.

We decided to head out to eat on our anniversary.  Jenna had fun entertaining Mikey while we were waiting for our food.

After dinner we stopped at West's Dairy for some ice cream.  A trip to Hayward isn't complete with out a stop here!

 The kids enjoyed getting out in the boat this year.  There were several requests to go fishing.

 After coming back to the cabin from fishing, Sadie & the kids found a turtle on the path up to the cabin.  Not sure where the turtle thought he was heading, but it created a pretty funny scene.   Bruce picked up the turtle and put him back in the lake.....Sadie was on turtle watch for the rest of the weekend.  He came back the next day!  This time she barked at him and he scrambled away to the weeds, and eventually ended up back in the lake.
