Andrew had his Kindergarten concert at the end of February. The theme was "when I grow up..." and the music teachers asked each of them what they wanted to be when they grow up, and then you were supposed to dress the kids like that profession for the concert. Well I got the list and saw 'artist' behind Andrew's name. I was a little surprised that it wasn't football or baseball player, but didn't really question it. Then I started to find things for his costume and showed him what I was planning on putting together for him....only to have him get really upset that there weren't airplanes involved with the costume. Thoroughly confused I asked his teacher if she knew what was up...turns out that he doesn't want to be an artist. He wants to be a pilot! Not sure how an artist becomes an airplane pilot or vice versa, but after conferences (which is where we found out about the confusion) we had 3 days to come up with a pilot costume....Here he is, our future pilot:
Next year he says he wants to be a dirt bike racer.....hopefully I get more than 3 days to come up with that costume :-)
